Whether all of it was scripted or not, both 'The Devil Wears Prada' and season 1 of 'The Hills' had their storylines matching in uncanny resemblance.

Lauren Conrad's fashion internship on The Hills was scripted and dramatized, but it still delivered a memorable moment when she was scolded by her boss for choosing her boyfriend over a Paris internship.
Lisa Love, the director of Teen Vogue LA, played a similar role to Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada. While she wasn't as cutthroat, Lisa was firm and called out her interns for inappropriate behavior.
Whitney Port, Lauren's coworker and friend on The Hills, was a supportive counterpart to Emily Charlton in the movie. Whitney proved to be a good friend and they would cover for each other when working late. Both shows share similarities and intertwine the Paris storyline.
