About Safwan Azeem

It all started with Safwan's love for writing back when he was eight years old and read a feature on Collider (It's true). But the young gamer, too into his gaming nighters and worlds of Dota and Counter-Strike, was too naive to make sense of the fact that his true call was writing back then. Fast forward 18 years, he now actively contributes to Collider — with his words flowing as smoothly as his guitar solos.
 

As a vocalist, songwriter, producer, and musician who knows a bit of most instruments — Safwan's indie music mostly comprises of Urdu songs. So if you're a Bollywood or Pakistani filmmaker, this is your cue to check out his Dibbiya and Khansa. 
 

Beyond his knack for words and music, Safwan majored in Computer Science. While he's skilled in coding, he has always preferred the art of storytelling, particularly when he wants to write songs, develop universes, or bridge the worlds of gaming and Film/TV. His insights into up-and-coming games, Apex Legends and Counter-Strike 2 these days, make him the go-to person for adaptations from gaming to the screen.
 

So basically, he loved watching anything and everything on screen. This boundless curiosity, combined with his extensive gaming background, led him to start writing stories about, well, anything and everything. Today, he channels his multiple passions into crafting cool and trending Food, Gaming, and Entertainment/Film/TV news stories for Collider and other esteemed platforms including Let's Eat Cake, TV Over Mind, and Darcy Magazine. Luckily, his all passions and skills intersect at writing words that don't suck.
