Before we really dive into award season, a few mid-tier hitters and smaller titles are coming out this weekend to properly gear us up for the Christmas season. You're probably already aware of this week's biggest release: The Boy and the Heron, from legendary animation studio Studio Ghibli. This is rumored to be director Hayao Miyazaki's final film, and if so, you'll want to say you were there to see it on the opening weekend, right? Besides some new Miyazaki, the holiday season-set psychological thriller, Eileen, will also be hitting theaters. It stars Thomasin McKenzie and Anne Hathaway. Nothing like a little bit of a brain buster to get you revved up for Santa!
